History
Advanced Structural Solutions was founded in July 2021 by Andrei Perim and Diego Serpa, experienced engineers with a vision of redefining excellence in engineering. Shortly after its inception, Renato Silva, P.E. joined the leadership team, bringing additional expertise and knowledge that enabled the firm to expand its capabilities and tackle larger, more complex projects. together, the leadership team shares a commitment to innovation, excellence, and client-focused solutions.

Specializing in the restoration of condominium buildings, our comprehensive services include material testing, structural design for repair and strengthening, shoring design, 3D scanning, GPR services, and the development of as-built drawings. With over a decade of experience in structural engineering and restoration, Andrei has led numerous large-scale and complex projects across South Florida, gaining a reputation for precision and ingenuity. His expertise spans concrete restoration, milestone inspections, GPR scanning, and cutting-edge technologies like Scan-to-BIM and drone surveys, enabling him to set new benchmarks in the industry.
Andrei’s dedication to innovation and efficiency has helped Advanced Structural Solutions establish a growing profile in condominium, hotel, and residential markets. Leveraging state-of-the-art tools and streamlined processes, the firm consistently delivers outstanding results with exceptional turnaround times and competitive pricing.
Andrei is an active member of industry-leading organizations, including the American Concrete Institute (ACI), the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI), and the Post-Tensioning Institute (PTI). He holds a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from Florida International University (FIU) and a Project Management certification from Columbia University, underscoring his commitment to professional growth and technical excellence.

Diego Serpa, Director of Restoration
Diego Serpa is a seasoned structural restoration specialist and business leader dedicated to delivering high-quality rehabilitation solutions for buildings across South Florida.
As Director of Restoration and CFO at Advanced Structural Solutions, he plays a key role in business development, client relations, and project oversight while also guiding and mentoring engineers in day-to-day operations. His strategic leadership ensures the firm continues to grow while maintaining its reputation for technical excellence and client-focused service.
With over eight years of experience in the construction industry and another seven years specializing in structural restoration, Diego has led the successful completion of 40-50 restoration projects, tackling critical issues such as concrete deterioration, post-tension system repairs, and building envelope remediation.
His diverse background includes experience in new construction in Colombia and Canada, giving him a well-rounded perspective on both modern and aging structures. Diego is a licensed Engineer in the State of Florida (EI) – has an active Certified Roofing Contractor license and in review process of obtaining his Certified General Contractor License.
Diego is currently in process of pursuing his professional Engineer License. His experience equips him with the expertise to manage projects from both a technical and construction perspective. He is a certified Post-Tension Inspector (Level I & II), further reinforcing his specialization in complex restoration work. An active member of the American Concrete Institute (ACI), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI), and the Post-Tensioning Institute (PTI), Diego stays at the forefront of industry advancements.
His commitment to continuous learning and innovation ensures that Advanced Structural Solutions provides cutting-edge solutions tailored to the challenges of South Florida’s built environment. In his dual role, Diego is instrumental in both the technical and financial growth of the firm. His ability to bridge engineering expertise with strategic business planning allows Advanced Structural Solutions to deliver innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable restoration solutions, making him a trusted partner for clients and colleagues alike.
