Renato O. Silva, P.E., S.I., M.S.

Renato Silva is a Professional Engineer licensed in both Florida and New York, and a licensed Special Inspector — the credential Florida requires for threshold building inspections under Statute 553.79. He holds a master's degree in structural engineering from Florida Atlantic University and has practised for over a decade.

His recertification experience is the depth boards look for. He has performed 40- and 50-year recertification inspections and prepared the signed and sealed reports that follow, alongside structural evaluations of high-rise buildings, parking garages and plaza decks. His design work spans concrete, masonry, aluminium, steel and timber, in single and multi-storey structures.

He works through the full arc of a project rather than handing off after the report: construction documents, cost estimates and bid packages, then construction-phase services including site inspection, payment certification and permit closeout. He serves as an officer of the Florida Structural Engineers Association.
