Licensed Professional Engineer and co-founder, Engineer of Record on high-rise and mid-rise restoration across South Florida.
Andrei Perim co-founded Advanced Structural Solutions in 2021 and serves as Engineer of Record on the firm's restoration work. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Florida with a master's degree in structural engineering from Florida International University, and he currently oversees several restoration projects running above $10 million each.
His work concentrates on building envelope restoration and concrete rehabilitation — the failure modes that dominate ageing coastal structures in South Florida. Before founding the firm he spent three years as a senior project engineer at Karins Engineering Group, managing restoration of high-rise buildings, plaza decks, rooftops and parking garages, and preparing the structural design and calculations behind reinforced concrete repairs.
He introduced ground penetrating radar and LIDAR 3D scanning to the firm's survey practice, which allows deterioration to be located and quantified before anything is opened up. Boards and property managers deal with him directly rather than through an account manager, and he seals the reports himself.
