Diego Serpa co-founded Advanced Structural Solutions and directs its restoration practice. He has delivered more than 100 restoration projects across South Florida over eight years in the market, covering high-rise buildings, plaza decks, parking garages and roof replacement.
He holds two credentials unusual inside an engineering firm: Certified General Contractor and Certified Roofing Contractor, both licensed by Florida's Department of Business and Professional Regulation. That matters on a restoration project because the question a board most needs answered is not only what repair the structure requires, but what that repair will genuinely cost and take to build. He has managed the work from both sides.
His background includes materials research at Ryerson University in Toronto, where he worked on high-performance concrete with reduced curing time and improved freeze-thaw resistance, and four years at Karins Engineering Group before co-founding this firm. He is a certified post-tension inspector and installer at Levels I and II.
